Enrolling at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU)
Students will receive their notification of approval online only; at the same time, they will also be notified of the enrolment date at the HNU. First, students must enroll online via the application portal, then print out the application to enroll, sign it and send it to the HNU together with all the other enrollment documents. Please note that all of the enrollment documents must be submitted by the date named in the notification of approval at the latest.
Students are asked to read the following important documents before filling out the documents required for enrollment at the HNU: Rules for users of the IT services and the library, students' health insurance leaflet. The documents are only available in German and can be found on the German page for enrollment in the download area at the right.
- The documents must be complete when they are handed in for enrollment
- If students miss the date for enrollment, the notification of approval will no longer be valid
- Please note also that the enrollment fees must be transferred in time.
You can also enrol in person at the office (Referat Studium) during the opening hours:

Certificates of matriculation
After students have enrolled, they are sent iTans by mail. They can use them to print out comfortably the certificate of matriculation themselves, via the online portal of the Studies and Exams Office. Please make sure that the Studies and Exams Office always has your valid address. Students can always change it via the online portal.
Welcome programme for new students
The HNU student representation organizes an introductory programme for all new students; this usually takes place one week before the beginning of the lecture period.
