Master of Science (M.Sc.)

Standard period of study

Four semesters


Focus on business studies and complementary academic courses relating to humanities, social, cultural, engineering or science subjects

Professional opportunities

Qualified to take over management and executive  functions, entrepreneurial responsibilities or independent academic research, e.g. writing a doctoral thesis

Practical approach

Participants from different academic disciplines solve management problems in seminars; professors use their management experience in their lectures


(third and fourth semester in the special field of study 'International Brand and Sales Management')

Semesters abroad

Students are recommended to spend the third or fourth semester abroad. If participants study a core study area abroad, recognition of these exams results is straightforward. The HNU promotes studies abroad.

Admission requirements

  • Completed university studies with at least 180 ECTS points or a comparable exam
  • Final grade 2.3 or better
  • Good German and English language skills

Application period

Winter semester: 2 May to 15 August
Summer semester: 15 November to 15 February
