My academic degree amounts to less than 210 ECTS. What can I do?

You need an academic degree with 210 ECTS. In case of a degree with only 180 ECTS credits (equivalent to 3 years of full-time studies), the existing skills gap of 30 ECTS credits must be bridged by proving to meet at least one of the following remediary requirements:

  • (Co-)authorship of research publications in English (Research Paper)
  • proof of at least 6 months full-time professional experience after obtaining the Bachelor's degree. The work experience has to be in a field relevant to the content of the study course (please provide employment and / or job references)

What grade do I need?

The grade of your academic degree has to be the equivalent to a German 2.3 (as a rule of thumb: roughly comparable to 78%-79% of a total of 100%).

If you have your degree from outside the German education system, please note the additional rules for International Applicants.

If my grade isn't good enough, can I improve it somehow?

Unfortunately, there is no way to get admitted if the grade of your academic degree isn't 2.3 or better.
