Sino-German Competence Centre (SGCC)
The primary goal of the SGCC is to support German companies in the Chinese economy, helping them gain access to the necessary institutions. Moreover, our vision of knowledge transfer is one that develops mutual understanding. In this way, we promote knowledge transfer in both directions. We want to contribute to an understanding of German economic policy among decision makers in Chinese business as well as Chinese policymakers.
The Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) has partnership agreements with the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) and with the Zhejiang Sci Tech University (ZTU) in Hangzhou.
Hangzhou is the capital city of Zhejiang Province with a population of 10 million, located approximately 150 kilometres southwest of Shanghai.
We have a long history of relations with both universities in the form of student exchanges.
In addition, we have a close relationship with Yunnan University in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province with a population of 7.5 million. Yunnan University is part of China's '211 Project' higher education support programme, making it one of China's universities of excellence. At Yunnan University, HNU professors have already given guest lectures on the topic of digitalisation.
