HNU | Centre for Secure IT Applications and Infrastructures

Attacks on corporate IT structures are on the rise. This is why it is becoming increasingly important to have safeguards against unauthorised users. Large companies have their own departments or staff to carry out this kind of task, but when it comes to implementing complex IT security applications, small and medium-sized businesses often lack the experience or financial means.

Consequently, consistent user authentication is lacking; security-sensitive information is e-mailed unencrypted; and the idea of an overarching corporate public key infrastructure, or solutions such as single sign-on, hard disk encryption or comprehensive safeguards for Web applications which often go hand-in-hand with it, never even come into consideration.

With its research and development work, HNU's Centre for Secure IT Applications and Infrastructures brings the technologies that are available on the market to small and medium-sized businesses. It offers support in analysing the existing situation, developing solutions and building and introducing appropriate security systems.
