Who is in charge and who enforces which arguments in European policy. That's what the Centre for Corporate Communications tried to explore in a field trip to Brussels in early May. Together with Prof. Dr. Ulrike Reisach, twelve participants from the study programs IMA, IMUK and WIF looked behind the scenes and gained a fascinating insight into the world of European politics. They visited the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), the ARD German Broadcasting Centre Brussels, the European Office of the German political foundation Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and Solidar, a European network of NGOs for social justice. Of course the group also visited the European Parliament and Commission as well as the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany and Bavarias Representation to the European Union.

Back and into the Future – study trip to Copenhagen (Mai, 6-10, 2013)

Trashy, sugar-sweet 50s kitsch in Tivoli, Danish design day and night, pop art by the seaside, Damien Hirst in a museum like a ship, Copenhagen advertising professionals with watchdog, urban utopia in Örestad, Zombie Day, one direction only and – last but not least – the lille Havfrue: five days filled with many impressions in the Danish capital.

The Information Management and Corporate Communications (IMUK) students were accompanied on their field trip from May 6-10, 2013, by Prof. Kimpflinger, Prof. Caspers and Ms Schulz.

The multitude of impressions was processed and presented on Information Management Day 2013, entitled 'Multi-sensual Corporate Communications: The Meaning of the Senses', which was hosted on June 21, 2013, by the Centre for Corporate Communications.

HfG Archive: study trip to Ulm’s design Mecca (April 23, 2013)

In the 1950s and 60s, the Ulm School of Design (HfG) was viewed as one of the most progressive design schools in the world.

As part of their Communications Project (IMUK 5), students visited the HfG complex designed by Max Bill, the architectural expression of the HfG training concept, together with Prof. Caspers and Ms Schulz.

The participants found out more about this, as well as the history of the HfG and how it viewed itself, in an expert guided tour of the 'Vasistas?' exhibition.
