The University Executive Board
The Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) is headed by the President, two Vice-Presidents and the Head of Administration. The University Executive Board is responsible for controlling and further developing the HNU.
Its sphere of responsibility is defined in the 2006 Bavarian Higher Education Act. This includes, for example, concluding agreements on objectives with the Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts, establishing principles for ensuring quality, and implementing the budget. The University Executive Board was also provided with a key means of control in 2006 when it was put in charge of nominations for professorial appointments.
The President is elected by the University Advisory Board pursuant to nominations by the deans and members of the University Advisory Board, whereas the Vice-Presidents are elected by the University Advisory Board after being nominated by the President.
