100 international partnerships worldwide – Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences completes agreement with the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg
One hundred partner universities in 45 countries on five continents – with the agreement with the University of Witwatersrand the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) has completed its hundredth international partnership. From the coming winter semester students will be able to gain international experience in economically strong South Africa.
“Educating specialists and leaders with international experience, who look for solutions and act responsibly – that is our task in education. The University of Witwatersrand offers our students high academic standards and internationally recognised study courses,” said President Prof.Dr. Uta M. Feser. Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences is collaborating with the University of Witwatersrand’s Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management in the field of Information Systems in order to create opportunities for student and staff exchange as well as for liaising on research. More than 200 HNU students each year take advantage of the opportunity to study or write their final dissertation paper abroad, or to complete their internship in another country. The HNU offers international students more than 80 courses at Bachelor or Master’s levels taught in English, two double degree programmes, four international Master’s study programmes – all in an attractive study location in an economically strong and innovative region of Germany.
This new partnership extends Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences’ contact with the world’s second biggest continent; there are already partnerships with Cape Peninsula University of Technology and the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town. The University of Witwatersrand belongs to the oldest, most well-known and research strongest universities in Africa. A number of Nobel prize winners – amongst them Nelson Mandela – have studied at the University of Witwatersrand.
