What conditions must I fulfil to be able to study and graduate from the Neu-Ulm University?

1. Pre-study internship

Before starting your studies you must complete a 6-week internship (industrial placement). You should have a certificate from the organisation where you completed this internship, stating what tasks you undertook and how long you were there. This certificate should be in German.

Business Studies, Information Management and Corporate Communication

  • 6-week pre-study business-related internship

    Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering/Logistics

  • 6-week technical pre-study internship

     

     

    2. Requirements for study at the university

    You must have the correct authorization for study at a university and you will need to get this recognised in Germany. Please contact the Bavarian office concerned with the recognition of international qualifications (Zeugnisanerkennungsstelle für den Freistaat Bayern) to obtain official recognition of your qualifications.

    You will have to supply the following documentation for this office:

  • a completed form, stating your nationality, requested study course and a table showing your school education. You can find this form on the website of the Bavarian State Ministry of Education
  • your original certificates or a copy which has been officially certified
  • a copy of your identification or passport
  • evidence of a change of name (e.g. marriage certificate)
  • evidence of a change of name (e.g. marriage certificate)


    3. Tests in German

    You must provide evidence of your ability in German, at the latest when you register at the university. The following tests and exams are recognised.

  • Language Certificate of the Kultusministerkonferenz, Level 2   (Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz – zweite Stufe)
  • Language test in German for entrance to universities, level 2 (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber (DSH) – Stufe 2)
  • Test in German for international students – level 4 in all parts of the test

    (Deutsch als Fremdsprache für ausländische Studienbewerber (TestDaF) – Stufe 4)

  • Goethe Institut Certificates "Großes Sprachdiplom" and "Kleines Sprachdiplom" and "Oberstufenprüfung (ZOP)"
  • The "Deutsche Sprachprüfung II" of the language and translation Institute in Munich (Sprache- und Dolmetscherinstitut München)
