The cultural scene of the towns is varied and constantly changing. Theatre, cinema, museums, exhibitions, jazz and classical music concerts, traditional and modern festivals make up an attractive cultural programme.

The Theater Ulm is well-known both within and outside of the region. It unites opera, theatre, and ballet accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra. 

The Stadthaus, which has exhibitions of contemporary art and photography, the Ulm Museum, known for its archives of the former "Hochschule für Gestaltung" (University for design) and the Edwin Scharff Museum in Neu-Ulm, which exhibits works of significant German sculptors, all enrich the cultural life of the cities.
