Where can I find a pleasant and reasonably priced place to stay?Exchange students from our partner universities can usually be offered a room in the student hostel (Wohnheim) Wiley, very close to the university. If you are interested, please complete the form "Housing Request Form" and send it to us with your application, by 1 May at the latest for the winter semester and by 1 December for the following summer semester. Apart from the student hostel, there are other opportunities to find private accommodation. There is a house-sharing service (Mitwohnzentrale) which organises furnished rooms on a short term basis.
The following websites may be useful for finding rooms in shared accommodation:
Flats – usually unfurnished – can best be found on Wednesdays and Saturdays in local newspapers or on the noticeboards near the Study and Information Centre.
If you need a place to short-term stay until you have found a room or flat, you can apply to the local youth hostel (Jugendherberge), or a local guest house (Pension) or hotel (Hotel):
